L'Imbottito delle 4 Ciacole
|
L'Imbottito delle 4 Ciacole is another delightful little trattoria serving freshly prepared, simple cooking in delightful traditional surroundings.
Located between Castlevecchio and the Porta Nuova train station, it's a convenient choice for lunch if you're on your way to catch an afternoon train. Taking its inspiration from the old family grocery stores of Il Basso Veronese, the interior is snug and cosy with the dining space split over two levels and an open plan corner kitchen where you can oversee the chef at work. I was particularly intrigued by the antique fridge and wine cooler, both of which seemed to be fully functioning despite their obvious vintage. It was a blistering hot July day when I visited, so something light and refreshing was required. The Campari Spritz was the perfect start, followed by pasta con zucchini alla menta e ricotta salata washed down with a refreshing floral Lugana. Friendly service, simple but delicious food and delightful surroundings. I'll be back. |
